I have ran into production issues. There may be another issue. Did you add to the flock, or browse somewhere that might have brought something home. I am having to isolate chickens.. treat them for weeks before adding them back yo the flock or burying them..

That is NOT researching BANTI!!!  go to google scholar and choose a topic you need to understand more!!! THAT is research.

Hi Benny!  I am fine.   How is the family?  whats cooking?

Here are a couple pics of  my homemade bator.
I hope they uploaded correctly, lol! My brother wired everything up for me. This is my second batch to hatch out. The first one was with a Styrofoam cooler with no thermostat. I had a 50% hatch rate. I'm addicted now!

How you will keep humidity in lock down if you have only a sponge as a source of water? It will dry and you will need to open the lid. I would recommend to put a container full of water and the sponge in it, if you really need to increase the humidity %.

I just wondered how with no ledge, but I cut a piece. I am going to nail it to wood, and screw that to the building over the window.
They don't need a ledge. They can climb using the seams in the siding.
If in doubt, do a YouTube search for raccoons climbing sheer walls.

Are you saying that the further west you are the crazier you get??
Hope so. I'm glad I'm smack dab in the middle. Just a little sane, just a little crazy.

I'm getting by..... Trying to get some garden work done.
Have a long appointment tomorrow... 2 hour drive.... They want to look at my glaucoma..... See if it's changed I guess.
Hope you get a good diagnosis.
I'm having no luck keeping up with gardening and all the other outdoor stuff. Ants wiped out one of my bee hives and wax moths infested another. I drove into the city yesterday to buy some scrap metal for new hive stands. Even sitting in buckets of water the ants were able to swim across and reach the legs.

@mrleeroy I got a lectrical question. Figured I'd ask it now cause I'll probably forget in the morning. I've got a PTC Heating element. One Red wire and than a couple black wires that morph into a yellow wire. So I gotta wire up the red and the yellow. Who's Hot in that situation?
To the best of my knowledge, they can run on either AC or DC so it shouldn't matter. What is the voltage and wattage?

It is a storm window. It does slide open. It is partially open in this photo.
I would think a hawk or owl could get in there too.

Here are the egg photos you asked for of the green egg @Sally Sunshine . I did not get another today so just the one.

@ChickenCanoe @kwhites634
I added two by fours on the inside pluse seperateseperate 2x4's as stops. Then a board on the bottom to prevent reaching under and three separate locking mechanisms that go different directions.
Does that operate as a single door or two doors?

Yes we know.

I'm not sure exactly what you have. AC is different than DC in that current flows in both directions. I'm guessing it's an AC model. A pic would help.
It's AC current. Here's a link to what I want to wire.

110V and 500W Link to the product is above this comment.
Chaos, you're a jerk. I still have the Oscar Meyer weiner song in my head!

Since it's AC, it doesn't matter. When presented with red and yellow, I usually connect red to hot.

Yellow is usually powered fixture wire so that will work.
