I agree on the window. I did not think of hawks. I will have to take a chance today because it is too warm for the meaties if I close it now I saw them open mouthed last night. If they are from March first do you think they are about ready? The door is one piece that is hinged at the bottom so it opens out and down so I can hand a second food and a water from hooks that I put into the underside of the 2x4 floor. The main food and water will be at the front near the human and pop doors. That way we can all get to them no matter which side the run is on. I built small doggie/entrance to 8x10 coop area on both the south and west sides. My goal is to build the run so that it latches on and can be moved from side to side like rotated grazing. If I can't figure it out will eventually build a second run for the West side. Good morning. They don't need a ledge. They can climb using the seams in the siding. If in doubt, do a YouTube search for raccoons climbing sheer walls. Hope so. I'm glad I'm smack dab in the middle. Just a little sane, just a little crazy. Hope you get a good diagnosis. I'm having no luck keeping up with gardening and all the other outdoor stuff. Ants wiped out one of my bee hives and wax moths infested another. I drove into the city yesterday to buy some scrap metal for new hive stands. Even sitting in buckets of water the ants were able to swim across and reach the legs. To the best of my knowledge, they can run on either AC or DC so it shouldn't matter. What is the voltage and wattage? I would think a hawk or owl could get in there too. Does that operate as a single door or two doors? Have you sent one to
