Pens, are those a bantam breed? Never heard of them before.

Considered medium sized. They are supposed to be rare. More of a rounded body type shorter legged breed. Dates back to the 13 century. So far I'm liking them. These are their first eggs. They'll be breakfast for me. Eggs are medium when older. I got them in hopes of having a breed that would do well free ranging. But if they fly too well I'm not sure that will work out. Greenfirefarms has them. I got eggs off eBay and had a good hatch rate from them.

It's actually the green one with purple trim. Well I came home from work and nothing had hatched so had to go run an errand and in an hour it had hatched but there was another that just hatched that I did get to watch. PICS COMING SOON

Yes 3 hens. Two cream Legbar as well. The white egg bottom left is from hen hatched from Trader Joes eggs.

Lol, breakfast with these two little ladies is usually 9 or 10 a.m.
They like to get an early start on their day.
