Looks like he's taken over your favorite chair.

Yes!!! That is amazing!! I thought my little colonial town was pretty!
Thanks, those pictures are the tip of the iceberg. I'm fond of the picture of the water tower. We have 3 of those scattered around town, one more beautiful than the other.

I'm glad you enjoyed them.
In any discussion of St. Louis architecture, I would be remiss not to include two of our most iconic landmarks - our train station and the gateway arch.
Union station was started in 1889 and was the largest and busiest train station in the world - and the most beautiful in the nation.

In the 1940s, 100,000 people traversed the station each day.

We always took the kids to the whisper wall. They loved it. Most days there is a line of people wanting to whisper sweet nothings to each other from across the room.

After the 2014 renovation of the grand hall and hotel, a 3D mapping immersive experience was brought to life on its majestic ceiling.
This is such a cool video. I haven't been down there since the renovation. I may have to see it soon.
The images are projected onto the ceiling and arches of the great hall.

Not only amazing architecture but more so, engineering feats that probably couldn't be repeated today. Insurer actuaries predicted 13 men would die during construction.
Amazingly, not one worker died and only 3 lost time accidents over the 2 years.
I remember when it was being built. When the legs were a little more than halfway assembled, they realized they wouldn't meet. They had to remove some of the legs to re-align the legs. Because it grows and shrinks, all surveying had to be done at night. Accuracy had to be within 1/64th of an inch.
After watching this video I have to tell you, I could never be an ironworker.

No! You and the others need to stop asking for those kinds of photos! The only man that gets to see them isn't around!
