Anybody have time to advise a nervous first time hatcher?

Well the first time I hatched I put those eggs in there and said to them I was sorry and I knew they would die soon and I was just so sorry... Every one hatched and I was shocked ... Let us know where your questions are and we might just be able to help out good luck to you!

One of my favorite local breeders had a sale on ther hatching eggs so I came home with
14 Bresse eggs
10 Black Marans
3 Red/Yellow Golden pheasants and
6 Pea eggs

I'm hoping to add some Bresse to my flock in the fall- too busy fishing and camping until then. I'd love to see how yours turn out. Bill keeps selling our barnyard cockerels before they're big enough to be worth the time to cull & eat. Then he goes to the grocery store and brings home a rotisserie chicken! Leaves me scratching my head. Maybe if we had a few Bresse I could retrain his brain!

Haven't decided for sure yet? Probably part of why I don't have the eggs yet. One of those I will know it when I see it kinda deals. Think I'm ready for something other than just mixed layers though.

American Bresse

Do they have the same characteristics as the french ones? Large single comb white / black plumage and blue shanks? Do you have pic?
