Quote: Never having kept hogs I can't vouch for this, but I'm told that you can contain hogs behind a single strand of hot wire about 6" off the ground, the idea being that when they touch the wire with their snout while they're rooting they learn to avoid it.

I've now got a very confused chick running wild in there. And 2 eggs have pipped now so I'm checking frequently because I need to either catch it on video for the kids or take them down and I'm not sure I can have them loose down there atm... So stalking baby birds...

I have a question about roosters. About 3 months ago, I got a 4 month old white silkie roo that had an impacted crop. We healed that. He still has a very swollen crop, but it's always soft. He is now 7 months old. He doesn't crow. He spends all his time cuddled up to the other white hens, but isn't mounting them. I thought when my dominant roo died, this roo might step up to the plate. He hasn't. Some of the YOUNGER silkies are trying The youngsters are crowing. White roo, not a sound. Are there A-sexual roosters?

:lau In my family, we like to camp at KOAs. Tent camping mostly. Since not everyone married a spouse that likes to camp as well, we occasionally have to rent a cabin. I am trying to find out what the best deal is for an upcoming trip, and actually had to call to ask what size the coffee makers were. :D We need our coffee!
