Ok, I was sure that I put 15 eggs into lock down. I kept counting 2 eggs un-hatched, but only 12 chicks. They move around fast, but I should be able to count them.

I did a quick candle of the 2 remaining eggs. No movement, no internal pip on 1, but the other had a moving chick and an internal pip. We're on day 23.

I already have a taker for the 2 EE chicks mixed into those 12 that have hatched. When I grabbed the 2 NON silkie chicks, I cleaned out some of the hatched shells. The chicks have to stay here for a couple more days as I shuffle older chicks out of the brooder pen.

I was doing a quick check on all the chicks before I left and I found that missing egg!! Every time I looked and counted, someone must have been lying on it. I will check the viability tonight when I get home. I'm taking the stance, if they aren't strong enough to hatch, they weren't meant to hatch. Of the 5 chicks I've helped, only one is still alive.
