Good morning, my Christmas and January twenty first hatchlings are kicking it into gear I got ten eggs yesterday!!! That means eleven of thirteen at least are laying now since the darker olive egg was not there. Soon I will be able to meet my egg orders again and they will at least be paying for their own feed.

That would be nice! I'm really worried about them getting away from momma and getting attacked by the other birds...

Maybe you could put a box down lower for them so momma can protect them if they get out.

My new project, a fence that divide my back yard so the chicken's will have their own run, so dear wife will gave clean garden and l will more chickens!

So put up a barrier, and keep her separate for a few days. She is going to need a floor nest anyway.

Yes that's something I'll work on today. I have a completely closed-off "cage" inside the coop (for injured birds and whatnot) that I could make into a "nest"... Not sure how I want to take care of that yet.
