decided to pull up breaking Benjamin on Pandora and see what the chatter was all about. turns out I'm familiar with most of the songs. I have a rather broad interest in musical choice but seldom do I know the artist.

Aww such a cutie! She's my first ever livestock guardian. I was so worried about training and having her with chickens. Like an idgit I read way to many horror stories about when things go bad, but she's an angel when it comes to the girls. I wound up with an Australorp rooster by accident, and I swear they play with each other! He'll stand in the coop, just inside the door, and wait for her to peak her head in. When she does he'll run at her then chase her about a hundred yards out into the field and go back and do it all over again. You can watch him peak his head out watching her to see how close she is. Its so funny to watch! And if she just lays down and won't play, he'll go pick at her fur and pester her until she'll get up and chase him back to the coop. It's like a very bizarre game of tag

Well, thanks to my wonder family full of enablers, I've done both.  I got a Brinsea incubator the last two years for my Christmas/birthday (December babies understand) present.  I bought Welsummer and Legbars eggs from @dheltzel
this January and hatched those (unintentionally on Valentines day).  Last July I bought some Marans and two of them have gone Broody twice since January... crazies.  So, they are now sitting on their second 'batch' of eggs.  I'm expecting them to hatch during the week of June 6th.

Sounds like they keep you busy. Have you joined the May HAL? That would be an awesome present two years in a row.

Some friends of ours have a boxer and that thing is a puppy sized wrecking ball of muscle! But, I'll admit he is the sweetest dog. I know my friend loves him because he keeps her garden mole free!

puppy sized wrecking ball pretty much sums it up. She does her job. Scares people off because they think she's a pit. Barks like crazy at anything unfamiliar. Once they make it into the yard she would lick them to death before anything else but seldom are people brave enough to take the chance. Works for me.
