Well, that was terrifying.....


Looked out the window, and saw a hawk swooping for one of the RSL pullets. Ran out there like a screaming idjit! I got there just in time, Jace, her chicks, and the EHAL babies were all cornered too.

That could have turned out VERY badly.

Thankfully, the pullet he got is okay, a few feathers missing but nothing else. Now the hawk knows, though.


Lucky (my favorite EHAL chick) was missing for a good ten minutes, gave me a panic attack until he came racing out of the woods, terrified, before trying to hide under me! Poor guy!

Chickens are locked up for now, until I build saftey huts for them.

Normally I can stay caught up pretty well but today was hard. Hi how are all your chicks and eggs?? I saw that you got some Silkie eggs from the 24 hour auction thread.

Hi, chicks are doing great and I have lots of eggs I have WAY too many of both though!! I did get the silkie eggs from Ravyn, but I also just picked up more Ayam Cemani off of one of the auctions. Both Brinseas are FULL, the LG is running at 55% humidity for the Seramas. I have WAY too many babies in my bedroom that need to go outside. The babies that just hatched are moving into my bathroom.

The only hope I have for the new eggs is that one half of one Brinsea is on day 11 and there is 1 empty row. If I candle on Saturday, and I have to pull a few, I will have room!!!

My biggest problem I have, is that I have not kept my different breeds apart during hatching, and I can't tell them apart. How do I sell them if I don't know what they are?
