Congrats Ken!
I have 10 little ones heading to the brooder shortly.
I have 3 late bloomers that will stay in the hatcher for a bit, until they are capable of getting around a little better.
2 more Mille fluer, and one of my EEs were the late ones.
But of 13 eggs that made it to lock down, all 13 hatched! 100% for the first time in a loooong time!

Good morning everyone!
My little malpo made it out overnight! :celebrate
Tiny little thing, even for a Mille fluer. Youngest GD already named it pipsqueak.
I will have pics a bit later when I move them to the brooder.

Have a great day everyone! :frow
:woot :celebrate I am happy for you. Where are the pictures?

@kwhites634 Congrats on the two :fl. For the others.

Woke to two more!! That's twenty so far from hatch 2! I still have a dozen egg but my lone blue egg has hatched so I have one from that hen and she's so pretty! I've started sexing them and so far it's looking pretty even which is nice but I hope the blue one is a girl lol because I want to see the egg color differences. But I have more blues I just put in a few days ago so either way I will be ok I guess. I still haven't gotten photos!!
:celebrate

and this little guy I think is either a sibling to the above gray one? Or ? I don't know he's super cute but a boy :(
And I have 1 more olive egger same dad different mom but it just hatched early am and I have 2 more blacks to sex but it looks like it's what I posted here and 4 black & blue boys and 6 more black & blue girls I think that all adds up lol there are 20 total from hatch 2.
I will also keep any olive eggers from this hatch that are pullets though seeing as there aren't many and they're their first babies... I'm a dork lol. Thanks for suggesting the little spiral bands that's easiest for us and I did not know they made them THIS small!! They're very amused by them and freaking out about them!! I think we are going to look over the first batch a bit and get them a little socialized they're freaked because that brooder is up. So people peer down in and scare them :(

There is a thread something about using a cage. I will look for it.
Yeah, just type in how to beak a broody and there is a good thread on the cage and suggestions.
Lock her out of the coop till the other birds roost... Works for me... Carry her around the yard. Give her some watermelon... Generally disrupt what she's doing... Or this year I went out and said hi Dora and she got out of the nest she's been sitting all week... I was going to give her some eggs! Lol
