Morning Banti!
Go chickies! :fl

Mornin!
No more rocking this morning. Some look great and ready to pop and others look like theres still a ton of room. Aircells havent changed since day 14 in most. The light pink oned seem to loose the most. Took out the water and it back into the 30s for humidity. If no more rocking ill lock down tomorrow. Today is day 17.

:fl

Hi everyone. I had posted a couple of days ago about my weights not being on track. Its now the night of day 16 and my eggs are rocking. I have no idea the breed. Three are pink, one green and three brown. I turned off the turner but they are still on the egg turner. Should I take them off and prepare for an early lockdown? Im worried about the aircells still. Temp is holding at 99.5 and humidity is in the 30s. There is zero water in the bator and has been like that for 4 days now.
If the weights are low, add water. If they haven't lost enough, leave it alone.

Here are my eggs. How do their cells look? I am going to draw in day 17 tomorrow. I added water and it shot up to 60%. Too high? Any idea on breed?
The green one is either EE or ameraucana. The light ones could be almost anything, Rocks, Orps, JGs, Delawares, etc.. The dark ones could be Marans, Barnevelders, Welsummers, Langshans, Penes.
Whoever you got them from, needs to clean their nests.

Gotta love wide pips

Good morning

My eggs are 7 hours overdue. I just peeked in and counted 4 pips and heard a lot of peeping.
I screwed up yesterday and didn't turn the other eggs. There were no pips and I figured it would be my last chance for a couple days. It was a crazy busy day here so I hope the chicks play soccer and do some turning for me. Probably won't happen though. The incubator is packed tight.

I see the Os are bashing the ball again this year.

I just started thinking, that's not intestines right? I think it is a little smaller, but it's hard to tell since its drying off. It's acting pretty tired, but that's normal right? Sorry it's just this is my first time hatching in an incubator, and I'm just worried.
No sweat! It's hard work getting out of a shell for such a little thing; she's likely just resting. I had one hatch yesterday that was laying around looking weak; I wasn't at all sure it was going to live. 15 min. later it was at the opposite end of the 'bator, perfectly normal.

Quote: That's more indication than I've gotten from my remaining 7 since yesterday afternoon when the last of the other 5 hatched out. I went in & grabbed the 5 & stuck them in the brooder, removed the shells, I situated the 7 unhatched eggs in the center, under the heating element, & that's where they sit. Of course they're not actually due 'til this afternoon, but I have a feeling I have all I'm going to get. We'll see.
Have 3 solid yellow, 1 yellow with a black spot midway of the back, & 1 solid black. At least one has feathered legs.

Quote: Depends on which game you're watching, I'm afraid. Like the little girl with the curl in the middle of her forehead, when they're hot, they're very very hot, but when they are cold they're frigid.
Jimenez sucks this year; there's talk of trading him...I hope they do; he just don't have it anymore.

Looks like they be all grown considerably. Cute pic.

Yup, yup!
The drake is not the sweetest critter I have. He was a slight concern with the babies being so tiny. He used his bill to do little more than touch Christopher. Then he walked away from the babies. I was pleased!

LOL!
