What day do you candle eggs to check for fertility

I have trouble with candling, so I don't do anything until day 10, but most eggs you can see veining by day 7. Some say by day 3....

I don't candle much. Eggs are too dark. I look for a dark mass or clear. That's about it.

I usually only remove leakers or stinkers.

Day 10 is good if you are only doing it once.

In most eggs you ca see good veins (or not if not developing/early death) by day 7

I usually only candle when I need bator space

Thanks, I didn't know ammonia could be used for disinfecting an incubator. I'll try it next time as I don't like the bleach smell.

I have also heard of using vinegar.
