Thanks Liz - I do have no crow rooster collars on the loudest ones. We started making our own, since we had SO MANY roosters.

I am not a vegetarian, but if I see an animal alive, I don't want to eat THAT animal. I can care for my chickens and happily eat a chicken I bought at the store and not blink, but they weren't MY chickens. I'm about 90% there. If someone else will kill them and gut them, I'll defeather than. I think that's a fair trade!

do the collars work??

I feel the same way, i've processed others birds but none of my own, my DH cant even kill them, his brother does it

Me too. I've got some small buckets need to get them in freezer tonight.
I'm actually trying the ice with my earthworms as they were too hot yesterday. Put ice pack in bin. Pretty sure they will be near it when I get home. Last night they were all trying to escape bin
