That's a pretty good description of my morning...

It is another dreary day. Maybe the landscaper won't come after all. I hope he does! I also hope he doesn't bring his "helper" that mowed down my rhubarb! Thankfully, it came back quickly, and I have already harvested some.
Regardless, as long as it is warm out, Duckling can play outside. I HATE worms, but if she does pick one up, I will deal with it. My fears should never be her's.

These are lovely. I hope to have Muscovies some day - I was going to get them this winter, but had my hands full with chicken housing projects. Maybe in the future. With goats.

I actually have a Muscovy duck in the freezer, and I also have homemade plum jam. Hmmmm.... maybe I'll defrost...

OK, I gotta run. Garden is a train wreck this year, so I have to BUY veggies (oh, the SHAME of it!). So I'm off to the Farmer's Market.

I was cuddling my Sweetie yesterday. Had my hand on her belly which was naked except for two little lines of feathers. Soft as a babies' bottom... T

Those carry a different gene (Scaleless, or Sc/sc). I know a couple folks who breed those. They have to sew clothes for them to wear in the winter.
