Ok so as many of you may or may not know I will be leaving tomorrow and won't be back for a week. (Yes the trip got extended.) I won't be able to be on here until possibly Friday so I want to say good bye till I get back. Also I have to do some public speaking which I absolutely dread so encouragement and well wishes are greatly appreciated.

Will be back on in the morning but just wanted to let everyone know before I suddenly left.

We will be sure to say lots of mean things about you after you leave :D

I would offer encouragement for public speaking but like you I despise it greatly. What will you be speaking on?

Thank you Chaos!!! Well it's the thought that counts right?? I am not exactly sure? I will be assigned a topic tomorrow when I get there.

That's tough - I used to have a real problem with public speaking (I even used to have an unreasonable phone phobia) - my "crutch" (if you want to call it that) that I used was to be hyper prepared for my talks including practicing in the mirror and timing it (still was nervous, but less so). I can't imagine not knowing what I will be speaking on ahead of time, giving less time to do that. I wish you all the best luck. I only got over mine by doing it a LOT (aka teaching a lot to large groups of students). Just takes time and experience. So think positive. This week will be one more step toward getting more comfortable with it. :hugs

I haven't done much public speaking so this is a big step. We will have fro. Tomorrow to Friday to prepare it. I have always worried myself sick which is bad and once I couldn't give it as I was so sick. Thanks for the encouragement I know I will need it.

Could always take the advice I heard someone give once (not to me): Just imagine that your audience is all sitting there in nothing but their underwear

And we had rain for at least 10 hours strait today and yards flooded, and I was walking in the backyard just now with flip flops and almost stepped on a copper head or cotton mouth.

Oh no! That would not have been good.
Lol :lau
May borrow that??? :hide
Thanks and me too.

Sure! Make sure to sprawl out funny as well... And don't lick the ketchup off your lips, no matter how much you want to. It tastes good, but rather spoils the effect. :lau

Taking notes. Yep I got it..... Thanks Banti ;)

That may help.
