Fire Ant Farm
Get off my lawn
Oh, geez, there's someone called FireAntFarmer!@FireAntFarmer weren't you asking about potable water hoses?
I ended up getting three 50' hoses from HD delivered. If memory serves, they were about $19 ea. and free shipping. I ended up being about 15' short. I then went to Lowe's to get a short one. They had 25' hoses for $20. But I found a single 100' drinking water safe, lead free, BPA free, blah, blah, blah hose on the shelf with no price. It was $35 but not a stock item and was discontinued. I told the young guy working the department my dilemma. I only needed 15' but wondered whether it was wise to spend $20 on 25' when I could get 100' for less than double. He said, since it was a non stock item he'd mark it down to $20. So I now have 250' of drinking water safe hoses for less than $80. Counting all the rest of the hose I have well over 600' of hose. I won't have to buy any again as long as I live here. The nonsafe hoses are heavy duty professional hoses too. A few have repair sections so any that are iffy with bulges, I may toss.
That's a great deal! I got some online, and haven't gotten the chance yet, but hope to set up some automatic waterers...

LOVE this picture!!!!!Just dropping in to say hi to everyone, hope everyone is doing great, and then to say goodnight. I don't have enough hours in the day any more, but I'm still hammering away at everything. Progress with the new coop slowed down this weekend, but I got in what time I could between showers and thunderstorms. I've devoted far too much time towards building a deck, when I needed to be working inside and putting up wire for the pen. Fortunately I should be able to get a couple more weeks or so out of the brooder before I have no choice but to move the chicks. They're 5 1/2 weeks old now, and the do get to go out into a temporary mini-pen for fresh grass and sunshine every day. Caught a nice pic of them with their body guard this afternoon...
Time to hit the shower...![]()
