The kid just had some IV fluids to wash out her system of any medication and then her and the doe get to come home! Any recommendations on how to make transitioning the kid to the bottle easier (I have only bottle fed once before)?

I'm friends with a retired police officer. He told us he used to keep any of his snap-on tools that needed repair in the back of his cruiser. When he saw the snap-on truck, he'd pull it over so he could drop his tools off for repair

LOL, sounds like something my father in law would do, and he probably did when he was on the force

Anyone have opinions or experiences on pine shavings for goat bedding? With all the flooding it's hard to find hay right now. Please quote or tag so I can find it later.

Roxie's bag has doubled it's size in a week! She's finally looking heavy. I'm feeling her pencil ligaments, but it's hard for me to detect changes. They're still firm, but not rock hard, and they feel slightly curved or sunken? Or maybe that's all in my head.

I've used pine shaving before, they work fine but I prefer straw. The one thing I don't like about shavings is when goats kid the shavings stick to EVERYTHING! It's really annoying. On another note good luck with your doe! Wishing you the best!

Is that luck in general or because I should be counting the minutes?? Previous owner said Roxie kids without warning. If she's out in the pasture in the rain, she'll kid and keep on eating. It's happened before. :rant So I'm a little worked up. This is her third kidding.

sweet!!! you learned not to stagger? bawahahhahhaaaa see how long that lasts!

:thumbsup   Banti, make note please.  I lost my notes and marbles!!!

@myfivegirls
  Did you do the return vent in the back of the coolers? I do you have more pics of the inside?

I usually would stagger a bit but I have some Lavender/Black Ameraucana coming so I'm trying to stay disciplined.

Thanks! All types of cut anything are short right now. I had to buy bales of stuff from TSC, and I've sent the boys to fence row for saplings and branches. Can't wait for the big pasture to be fenced next year! :highfive:

Pine shavings are fine. I've never had much luck with the ligaments, they seem to come and go. I watch for the plug discharge.
