I would just stick it in her mouth. Maybe with some karo syrup or honey on the nipple.

Is that luck in general or because I should be counting the minutes?? Previous owner said Roxie kids without warning. If she's out in the pasture in the rain, she'll kid and keep on eating. It's happened before. :rant So I'm a little worked up. This is her third kidding.
If she kids that easy, just relax and enjoy checking occasionally in the unlikely event that there is trouble. Enjoy the miracle.

On a cold winter morning
In the time before the light
In flames of death's eternal reign
We ride towards the fight

When the darkness has fallen down
And the times are tough alright
The sound of evil laughter falls
Around the world tonight

Morning Banty, sorry you aren't feeling well, Hope the extra sleep helps cure you!!

We have two baby's this morning and one is solid white
Congratulations CH!! What color is the other baby?

Good morning everyone! Time to clean out the hatching 'bator and get ready for the next batch of eggs. I have some AC's in that one. I'm excited to see what the chicks look like!!! They get locked down on Thursday.

My little girl turned 17 today!!! Where did all the time go? She's up in Oregon with her dad right now, so we'll celebrate when she gets home.

Happy Hatching everyone!

I think we're having the most fabulous day of the year so far - weather wise. A cold front moved in overnight and dried us out. The sky is a deep blue with a smattering of small white billowy clouds. 73F and only 60% humidity. I need to go out take advantage of it and get some work done. We're getting into the high 90s this weekend and likely the humidity will be sky high.
I've been inside trying to get my computer to communicate with my Arduino micro controller. Couldn't get the right com port on the Arduino. I ended up rebooting the computer with the Arduino attached, went to Lowe's for some pipe fittings, came back and the correct com port was available and now they're talking. So that problem is solved.

Glad the weather cooled off for you, I wish mine would warm back up, we are going to have some days in the mid 50s this week

Wow. We only hit 90 two days so far this year which is a miracle in itself. I'm not looking forward to needing the AC for days/weeks on end.

I used to be. 10 years ago I could make all kinds of automation talk to each other. I've clearly lost my edge.

The kid just had some IV fluids to wash out her system of any medication and then her and the doe get to come home! Any recommendations on how to make transitioning the kid to the bottle easier (I have only bottle fed once before)?

x2. I have very limited experience with goats; we picked up two 4-week-old orphans at the auction the past February. One took the bottle right off, the other fought me for a week. I'd put him in a head lock in my lap and cover his eyes, and we'd both end up covered in milk with only 2-3 oz at a time in his belly. I started with baby bottles from dollar tree (on the advice of a mentor) and the one did fine on that. The other did better on the black rubber nipple that goes on a coke bottle. Now they're big healthy boys!

i cant remember anything
cant tell if this is true or dream
deep down inside I feel to scream
this terrible silence stops me
