Amazon has the whole unit new under $55buck, not seeing separate trays. Says the racks will work for quail eggs.

Don't panic,your just eggcited!

@JessimomDid I have it backwards? I thought you were supposed to use the crushed limestone variety, not the caustic stuff. Whichever is which.

MC posted a great article a few pages back (thank you). I believe what we have is the wrong stuff.

We bought it to make a whitewash to paint the walls of the coop. So I can still use it, but I will look in the feed store instead of Lowes.

My polish eggs don't fit well in my turner. I am always scared of them getting broken.

Any advice on laying boxes for polish hens?(thinking rubber lined so if eggs fall quickly they won't crack on tips) few of our big girls often drop it on end&they slightly crack(from the fall) can't stand oystershell (yuck)so picturing rubber lined bottom to absorb impact(yea's or neigh's?)

I just have a deep layer of pine shavings in my nest boxes. I also have oyster shell out for my hens. I have never seen them eat any.

Good morning everyone!

@Sally Sunshine here is my only keeper this year. I have a friend who owed me hay money so I traded for one of her does triplets. 3/4 Nubian and 1/4 Boer. The dam is half and half raised triplets, and still gave milk.
