So, this is the egg that I was having trouble getting good weight loss on, I think it had a double blue egg gene. It had extra egg white in the bottom, so I now know the niggling feeling I had was right..... I was running almost dry though, and the other egg had a thin shell so it was losing too much weight. Next time I'm candling before setting!

Well, that was fun. My flock was wiped out the last few nights. I'm assuming fox. Every last one is gone.
I should amend that. I sold thirty six Saturday.
The rest were then taken by the fox.
Maybe next year I can try again.

Say it isn't so....... To all the naysayers, I've hatched twice in the cabinets in the last 30 days by accident. Yep, when it was time for lockdowns, I didn't follow my list too well and missed moving some trays to the hatchers. First one was 2 racks of 48 stacked on each other, hatched 89. Second one was today, 1 rack of 48 with a rack of duck eggs stacked on top of it, near as I can tell about 33 hatched so far with more zipping. Cabinet is running 100.5, constant 25% humidity, turner is running every hour and eggs are vertical in the egg racks. Ponder over this one.
