They had it for cattle, but I found some medicated feed that had it in it


Well the feed I got had ampromed in it
Were you feeding medicated feed before this happened, or did you get the feed just now? The amount of medicine in it is not enough to control an outbreak, just help prevent it.

My Speckled Sussex got bad cocci at 7 weeks old (progressed very fast, almost died) WHILE ON medicated feed. As Kathy says, it has a low level of the medication in it to try to keep the numbers of the organisms low, but you need the actual medication. (My Tractor Supply hasn't had the poultry Ampro stuff for a while - they are always sold out. Get the cattle one. The feed is not enough.)

Have spent 7 dollars on that stuff

If you haven't opened it, take it back and get your money back. If you have opened it, maybe even then try to take it back, and explain - can't hurt to ask... If you can't get money back, maybe you can get a store credit and get the cattle medication.
