Since you mentioned it...
I have a broody.

I knew it would happen when I was done with chicks for the year!
So, now I have to make a decision. Let her keep whatever she has, and just deal with what hatches because chickens are cleaner (dryer) than ducks. OR...
If I see her up, I can swap out (and abort which bugs me) the chicken eggs for Pekin eggs.

I don't want more of either. I would either give her three Pekins or let her keep... However many chicken eggs.
I kinda sorta maybe kinda don't know how many she has. If someone is in a box, I usually leave all eggs and go back later. Sometimes I forget to go back. Yesterday I never made it outside to collect. So she could have ten.
