Quote: You asked for help, I offered, then I waited and waited for a picture. Tomorrow I have a very busy schedule, so I doubt I'll be on much to help you, but do still post a picture because many other people will be able to tell you if it's normal or not. Good luck with your chick.

He really needs to post a poop picture.
Regarding the shell temp... Just measured the shell temp of a pea egg that I have under an OEGB and it was 102.8. @DuckGirl77 @ChickenCanoe

I have 13 purebred Rhode Island Reds, 11 of which just turned 8 weeks old today. I've always had an attraction towards them, and now I know why. They are the calmest, sweetest birds I've ever seen. They love to follow me around, and will perch on my legs, knees, arms, or shoulders every chance they get. Kind of cool right now, but may be a bit uncomfortable when they're fully grown...So what breeds are everyone's favorites / what do you keep?
My favorites are
Barnevelders
Dominique's
Brahmas
Olive/Easter eggers
We also keep
Orps
We have a maran chick
Some silkie chicks
2 New Hampshire reds
Sussex
Rocks
And mixes because mixes are great!
We plan to eventually keep orloffs as well but we are focused on the top 4 mixes ATM though we don't breed doms or brahmas yet, we are slowly building up our flock of doms and I think next year will think about that. And I wouldn't mind hatching a few brahmas either!
I'm Curious what you're all breeds of choice are?!
I am glad they are well. My thirteen are clear now. Nine cockerelsI have 13 purebred Rhode Island Reds that just turned 8 weeks old. I've always had an attraction towards them, and now I know why.
