I was just being a sarcastic jerk in my head (full disclosure. I am very mean) and decided that I was going to possibly make a loaf of French toast today.

Then I thought about all the other stuff that needs done. :th I need more energy, and less stuff to do.
It amazes me that in one night I tore up a carpet, disposed of it, swept twice, vacuumed a few more times, mopped four times (the floor was bad after forty years or so) moved in two recliners, added throws and end tables, and still cleaned and rearranged two other rooms.
I am an odd person, aren't I?

No You are a full time mama!

@Sally Sunshine Thanks! That was supposed to be my last birth for the year, but the broody disagreed. She is very a dedicated Olive Egger :)
That was the nice part of the morning. After my banana for breakfast I have to go clean the chicken coops :(

You lack some protein! With your goats and cows I see a lot of this!

Yup, I'm afraid so. I need to cull any birds that may be excreting virus in the millions and billions throughout their entire lives - bad idea to keep birds like that around. Oh yes, I plan to keep raising chickens, this is just one subgroup of them. I'm going to focus on Naked Necks and German New Hampshires (crossing them as well). I have pullets coming up that will give me some colorful eggs as well (marans, an olive egger, and some leg bars that I am hoping are ok), and they will have Goodwin the Lavender Ameraucana as their rooster/protector. Mystique is beautiful, but already a little standoffish (compared to all the other NNs). Here she is as Broody-zilla: Here is Granny (as Granny-zilla): (I gotta get these girls broken.) How wonderful! This made my morning!!!! :love Nope! (I have so much stuff like that to do, and I SERIOUSLY need more energy...) :hugs :hugs :hugs Yes and no - it's not hard but you have to get the hang of it. I suggest culling one bird and taking your time with it to figure it out. The one thing is that you don't want to rupture the gallbladder as it will taint the meat. I agree with this. I don't want to do my chores!!!!! :hit - Ant Farm
X2. But they are screaming at me. Did make progress on the barn throwing all the junk projects away this week. Off to do more. :frow

Well enjoy your day everyone. Headed back out to get more chores done. Still need to candle. Crap I need a clone.

Ah, the joys of a broody. Ya don't have to care what day it is.

I'm going to give her a few Icelandic eggs this evening. She comes out when milking is being done to eat any goat chow the does drop out. I also put a bowl of chicken feed down for the chickens that come over to "help".
Sounds like you are busy. I like the Icelandic chickens, but one can only have so many and I already have too many.
I have too many right now too.
Grass ain't gonna mow itself, unfortunately BBL Life! :barnie Bah, Humbug!
Have fun!
True, and she is also in the corner under a platform in the goat barn. This is going to be fun!
Am I the only one with nice broodies? :hu
I have some sweet ones, but I also have the ones that leave bruises and scars! -Kathy
Hi Kathy!
:yesss: GREAT!!!! so remind me when its time to lockdown Banti and Mike! lol Thank you so much for the beautiful eggies Mike!!! yes do that gentle like lol @h2oratt have you ever had a pup born with bald spot on head? I have a lil girl that was born like that and the vet basically accused us of burning her with a heat lamp or something, saying she never seen anything like it! I was poking around on google and found that it sounds like birth marks displaced cells. I agree, loose the diapers and pullups and put on the undies, roll up the carpets and let them learn they dont like having wet pants! use the treats when they go potty make a big huge deal out of it when they go, and show your true disappointment when they piddle on the floor. I have potty trained our own 5 kids, my sisters two, and seven littles over the years of babysitting. It works, but you have to follow through, and even though its tough to show that disappointment it needs done. And I keep the potty in the same area they are in so they can use it themselves, loose fitting undies and ONLY undies and a tshirt and they have to pull their own undies down to go too. and learn to pull them up. How cool!!! I want some cake and pie!!!! Enjoy your day! Would love to see the cakes you have made! @hippiestink coffee this late?
CIL's birthday cake. Marbled bundt cake with glaze on top, chocolate and vanilla flavor.
