So I did an experiment... Last weekend I found a broody on 8 eggs that were about 7 days developed and I removed the eggs so I could put pea eggs under her. Then just for grins I put these 8 eggs in the incubator yesterday and they all seem to be alive. Kind of strange that, right?

Why is that strange?

Cause I would think that after sitting on my counter for a week that being cold for so long would kill them, but all 8 appear to be alive. Also did the same with some Muscovy eggs, and it looks like half of those are alive.

I call it "Fermented goat" :D

your on one basically, we can run a contest if you want?  what kinda contest ya want?
Sorry, I missed this post. I deep cleaned the big coop, cleaned the red one and helped dig MO rock for my first two holes for the chute for my head gate. We were both too tired and hot for the next two.
I don't have any ideas July except for the forth which is kwhites634 hatch date is just hot.

Here is my new poop board scoop. I need a better tool to cut all of the bottom out. I did not have a anything but my old tin snips, and I was afraid to cut too much out at first till I checked if the structure would hold. It does. This is a super light aluminum pan which I am cutting the bottom out of (the rest needs to come out to prevent sand/pdz loss) covered with leftover hardware cloth with quarter inch holes held down by short self tapping screws. It is light and covers a tone more of the board than a kitty scoop so it is quick. That helps with a board like mine that is 32"x10'.
This is the rough prototype.

I hope everyone is having a great day.

Dax, you, Mike and I can see who's broody has the best hatch.
Sounds good, but I know mine are only going to be partially fertile since the guys just started being let out a couple of evenings a week when I am home to let everybody out. We need to include kwhites634 and there is someone else with a broody.
