How do you know?

Sounds sick. Like chickens, a healthy turtle can handle a worm load. Wild box turtles don't have anyone worming them.
Are the worms white?
I told you that wild caught box turtles don't live long in captivity. Of course you didn't listen to me.
What are you feeding it?
What is the substrate in the terrarium?
Does it have sun exposure?
Do you keep food in the terrarium?
You can't give wormer intended for birds or mammals. Ivermectin and Piperazine can kill a turtle.
Take her fecal sample to a vet to find what they are and they'll give you something to kill them.
Call area vets to see if they have reptile experience. Ask if they're a member of the Association of Reptile and Amphibian Veterinarians.
If you can't afford a vet, you shouldn't catch wild turtles and keep them in a small space.
um,excuse me.I said already.I don't have the in a glass tank.they are in and outdoor enclosure.on regular dirt.they eat. Greens worms bugs and all kinds of stuff and hibiscus

First chick is in the brooder!
I am so happy for you! I saw another pipped, but was going too fast to see if it was out.

Ha ha ha ha

Hey, Chaos! You need to get one of those!
@casportpony
kathy how do you check for egg binding??
Stick your finger up its tush!

Question for all you duck owners out there, any of you use a waterer with horizontal poultry nipples (the kind you install on the side of the bucket not the bottom)? I know they still need water they can dunk their heads in too (I plan on having that outside... the pond) but I like to keep the feeders and waterers in the coops. I love the poultry nipples because it keeps the water from getting rank, just wasnt sure if ducks would use them since they have to peck it.
I do not, but people do use them.

Quote: I heard about a police officer that responded to a call about a horse that had been hit by a car or was seriously injured, and that officer is said to have shot the horse in the head, but the bullet ricocheted off the asphalt and killed him. Have no idea if it's true or not...

-Kathy
When my 1st horse was hit in southern IL, one of the responding State Troopers shot him 4 times between the eyes (hardest place on a horse's head) before he got the job done. Could have done it with a single shot over an eye or right behind an ear (no bone in either place).

I had to call the Sheriff to put down a young buck that had been hit. To make a long story short, with the immobilized deer at his feet, "Barney Fife" missed the deer's head @ point blank range, breaking the jaw instead.
Deer that have met with vehicles get put down all the time. Once the policeman shot the deer in the heart rather than the head. He was a good shot but I'd have preferred a head shot. I couldn't eat the heart.

our police wont shoot them too much paperwork for the discharging of arms, they stand there and watch it die
i've seen this multiple times
this is why i now have a gun in every vehicle i own
Night shift policemen do it all the time. Day shift can't bring themselves to do it because they encounter it so infrequently.

food sounds ok but they're still in captivity and they're sick

Okee dokee! I am done! :celebrate
I have a lot of scratches from picking up a muscovy. He didn't like it. Oh well! We both learned that they are hard to skin.
Six boys were due to be processed, but one escaped when I was putting him in the holding pen last night. Another escaped today, but was caught later. The one from last night almost got caught. But, he was too leery.
I slit the neck, and learned to skin. I know how to pluck. I know the easy way to get the lungs out.. And that I am still not very good at it. Oh well! I think I can do this on my own. I also think my grade was only a C. Okay, maybe a B. Speaking of bees... I was stung in the eyelid. Oops!
The pictures are on my phone (nothing graphic) so I will post them in a minute.
I have to tell you, I handled this a lot better than I thought I would! Also, I am sitting here with guts in my hair, and I don't care! :D
Okay, pics in a minute.
Oh! I still have six fingers! That is what I started with, right?
