I don't raise roosters, can't baer the vocalizations and want to keep good connection with neiborghs, but if I was raising meat birds 2- 3 weeks of yogurt and mash, with additional sprouted grains, befor processing supposed to tender the meat, and let them gain weight.

Roosters are just now starting to crow. I have too many of them. Another reason to butcher. Still might keep one as he's looking good. Main rooster is two years old.

What do you find is the best tenderizer for the older ones. I usually let them rest with salt sprinkled on them in the fridge for a week. Older ones still little tough. Thought about baking soda but I didn't want mush.
