Well I waited 3 yrs to get started with Jersey GiantS and it hasn't been going well at all. May see about buying chicks and be done with it.
Oh she was. But she was the only EE I have had that wanted held and pet.

I love Jersey Giants. I've had all 3 varieties. I got my Blacks from Cackle and my Whites and Blues from Sandhill Preservation.
I'd raise them if I had more space and time.

I'm only hearing a few booms, I"m on the other side of town from the local display,but my dog is freaking out worse this year, than she did last year. She is shaking and pacing and her heart is hammering. I've heard giving dogs benedryl will help....has anyone else heard that?

My animal behavior friend said to give them the amino acid L-theonine.

My son and his friends were just shooting off some fireworks in the backyard. It has been so wet there is no danger. We have had years in the past when they were banned because of drought.

When you have a field of hay down, waiting for it to dry
During the week of the local carnival, which usually encompasses the 4th of July
During the county fair in Sept.
