My twins are thriving..and oh boy, I have another one in there. This one I wasn't sure about, just knew I had a big egg. It has two developing also. :/ Here is my first one, white leghorn egg, easy to see..they are swimming along. This morning I looked again, there is a line between the two yolks now. Goes right .. around..the middle of the egg. NOT a blood ring.
:thumbsup
Did it hurt when it hit?
Yes.

I caution you not to expect anything more than moral support from the code enforcement officer. He will do what ever he is told by the public works supervisor and mayor.
To effect change, it has to come from the city council.
@Jessimom
My code enforcement officer is on my side now (for the time being) but initially, he was skulking around the perimeter of my property taking notes for the mayor.
I encouraged the city to send him to my classes and they did. I told them that if he was going to be making evaluations about chicken keeping, he needed a good chicken husbandry education.

hey everyone I have a egg that has been halfway zipped for almost 4 hours chick is chirping and has moved the egg around quit a bit but looks like he's not able to kick it open should I help it

anyone
Patience is a virtue.

Read the Assisted Hatching article on the first page of this thread and then help it. Zipping shouldn't take longer than 90 minutes.
Shouldn't but I beg to differ. In the last 2 hatches I've had chicks halfway zipped and didn't make it out till the next day.
