The SOP or some other reference should give you standard egg sizes for the breed.

Will be setting Dominique eggs. SOP calls for them to be medium in size so 1.75-2 oz or ~50-57 grams

first molt for most breeds is the second autumn

eggs are almost always bigger after that and each subsequent molt

So then I can expect naked chickens this fall

Good thing I'll have others that should start laying just before that.

Always a good plan to have POL pullets toward the end of each summer.
It hasn't been often but it steams us when we have to buy grocery store eggs.

Since our girls picked up production this spring we haven't had to buy store eggs.
