Hey Kathy. They other thing I forgot to mention about these birds is extreme heat hardiness (good thing this month) and able to endure our coldest temps (down to 19 below) with nothing more than some roosters with frostbitten combs and wattles. This past winter I did a spreadsheet on daily egg production for each flock with columns for high and low temps and humidity. There was no correlation between temperature and production. They laid just as well on the coldest days and days to follow.
