Hi All, Not a SINGLE quote came through GRRRRR So, yes, I'm having glitches as well. I hope everyone is staying cool in this heat. We're supposed to be well over 100 today and it's already blazing out there.

It's been a busy couple of days. I have the one silkie chick that hatched under a broody silkie. It's getting big!!




These are the chicks I hatched for gotro17, I'll be trying to sneak them under her broody mamma today.



I had snuck 2 babies under a broody hen last week, I snuck 3 more under her last night. They seem to be doing great! But, I have 6 chicks there, so I'm guessing one of the non fertile eggs I left under her happened to be fertile? I had 2 nesting boxes in there for her, but she has moved out onto the floor (abandoning the remaining eggs) and is caring for the chicks there. So I removed the big bin and just left the bucket.

i would for awhile more, pip to zip is 24-30 hours so it might need more time,
when you poked it did you throw in wet paper towels to prevent shrink wrapping??

Meet Phyllis Diller....we can't tell what the sex is yet....won't know unless it starts to crow. Anyone else have a guess? How do you sex frilkies?
