When I first asked the city compliance Dept about getting chickens, they instructed me to ask for anything i might want in the future - ask for everything up front. If I ask for chickens - and get approval, later I ask for goats, I would need to start the process over. If I ask for goats and chickens, They said I'd have the same likelhood of having it granted as I would with just chickens. I am on 2 acres, so they looked at my lot, and my planned coop locations, and they said they didn't see an issue with granting it. Again, it all depends on the neighbors and how vocal they will be about this happening.Goggles and dust mask are a must.
Don't count on having good luck with chicken ordinances if you try to add goats too.
The city of St. Louis always allowed 4 chickens without a permit. 10 with a kennel permit.
Earlier this year a group tried to get it increased to 12 chickens and have emus and goats allowed.
While I think 4 is too few, trying for goats and emus in those tiny yards was a bridge too far. It was resoundingly defeated.
Then you can't work.
X2
And you can't drive to the hospital with junk in your eyes. Trust me, I know.

Lol could feed them to your birdsI feel a little like CH. I had a big cement mixing tub I was using to fill flower pots in (not with cement). It hasn't stopped raining since I started potting plants in it and it was in an area I couldn't dump it. I put mosquito dunks in it but by the time I get around to carting the water off to where it could be dumped, it was full of tadpoles. So I filtered it and got 24 tadpoles out of it that I now have in another container.
I'll probably have small toads and/or frogs by fall that I can release.
