Stateside had some good and bad. I have a friend going through a really bad separation with her husband, might end in divorce. Family is doing great and my cousin's second is about ready to join the world. As for Lady, I'm not surprised it happened but I wasn't looking forward to it.

Is the dog house wood so that maybe you could nail a 2/4 across the inside for them? How big is dog house and does it have a floor? Or is that wet too?

Hi Phil. Been thinking about you today. The air quality is really bad from all the fires when the sun goes down the sky is orange from all the smoke. Can't smell it so much but it doesn't help breathing at all. We need some of that rain to wash the air and put fires out. Still not sure how my brothers house fared from the fire in his area. He's on vacation so not a threat to him however the fire was a couple miles from him

Yeah i actually haven't been breathing too bad last few days.....but that smoke would kill me.
Hope you all get some rain....

I LIVE!

We just got home yesterday. Lots has happened, some good and some not-so-good.

Good: pumpkins have female and male flowers! Bad: Flowers are being eaten by slugs.
Good: Birds are laying and doing okay! Bad: Lady passed away while we were gone, which I was expecting but it still sucks.

We're still unpacking and getting back into our routine. I'll be online more now that we're battening down the hatches for Autumn and Winter.

So I need some advice. I set my cemani eggs on the 10th. They are all developing well. On the 15th I got gifted some gorgeous old English game bantams. Both breeds hatch early, but they are 5 days apart. Will this be difficult for lockdown and hatching? I dont have a separate hatcher....
IMO, wait until day 20 to raise the humidity. If air cells are all good up to that point, all should be fine. Some don't raise humidity until the first pip. So, day 20 means that the hatchers will get their humidity, and the ones behind will only get a little extra.
