Try to get the live one somewhere cooler.
A little ice to keep the footbaths cool isn't a bad idea but don't give birds ice water to drink. It can restrict the capillaries making matters worse.
Since it is arid there, misters should help a lot with evaporative cooling.
If it is illness, there is nothing you can do without knowing what is ailing them.





Not ideal but doable. At least you don't have to open to remove the hatched when the others are pipping.

Thank you! Should i start giving it medicated feed? And should i seperate it from the other chicks if it is a sickness?

Well I now know why it looked like one of my eggs that I put in on the 9th wasn't as developed as the other, it quit on us sometime between last night and tonight. Found a very prominent blood ring and no more movement tonight

Hey Everyone! I will be lurking more often starting this week. Classes start up again so time to study. Ewwww math.

Quail are doing well, almost time to sort them for gender. Both Giant hatches are growing huge! Will try to post new pics of them soon.

My friend who had the sick hen, she's still improving! She's up and active now. Possible lack of care by her family while she was at Fair during high 90 temps and over 90% humidity. We are in the end stages of building her new run. It's 16'x12'x16', so wish mine was that tall! So my only day odd and much to do , glad I woke at 4:30. Ugh!

Also not over sinus issue, AAAAAAAAACHOOOOO!
