I made up a bunch of name tags for Dax earlier. Right now I'm watching Wagon Train & "copying the mail" here, wishing it'd clear up enough to get some more done on the building,
awesome of you!! how do you make them? a special punch?
You remember the machines in amusement parks that stamped letters on soft metal discs with a penny mounted in the center? That fad may have faded away by the time you came along. The machine I use is a variation of that, I guess...that's the closest I can come to describing it.

I also have 2 sets of stamps for steel, like trailer frames. They're handy for changing serial #s

Answer: They can rock as soon as 18 days in my experience. The guitars don't usually develop until day 20 though.
If you are seeing it that soon, you can expect a lot of headaches and IMO, an early hatch.
Guitars?

Both modern societal problems.

If you are going to confuse me, at least gimme some coffee first!
Careful, you'll get restless leg syndrome.

Morning everyone!

Still haven't told DD about her hen. DH said he would handle it, and he was out of town til late last night. No funeral, because I threw her into the woods.

Is it ok to like a hen but still toss her over the fence? I feel a little like a monster. But the ants already had her, and the fence was closer than the compost...

Anyway, I made a little tribute.
The flies move in faster than the ants.
I had a bird out for 2 hours after it died. There were so many fly eggs it looked like cheese on the beak.
I don't like feeding fly larvae. That just makes millions more flies.
I like to compost or burn the carcass.

Drill a hole into it, and see what is going on.
Or just break it open.

Good night @Sally Sunshine
Catching up after being away for a bit. I had a wonderful vacation with granddaughters in Klamath Falls OR. Been working too many 10+ hour days since I've been back. I had a terrible incubator mishap/malfunction complete with exploding eggs. Pulled myself out of sadness and guilt from losing so many well-developed cooked chicks. Now broody my daughter due 10/2 keeps going into labor and is now on bed rest. Her two boys are 3 & 6 years old and full of energy, almost too much for me to handle.
Time to pull up my boot straps and get back on the horse!
I picked up chicks & eggs locally & even put a few of our own in the bator.
Gitty up!
I always wanted to go to Klamath Falls.

Mornin Benny, I have yet to see any Olympics

Better hurry. Today is the last day.
I've watched every day.

Right now I'm watching one of the last St. Louisan's still in the Olympics. Kevin Lisch is playing for Australia. He became an Australian citizen to play professionally there. He went to high school in Belleville across the river and played at St. Louis University. First SLU grad to play in the Olympics since 1964.
Lisch was a 3 time St. Louis Post-Dispatch first team All-Metro selection in high school and was MVP of the Australian National League this year.
Game is tied 88-88 with 5.4 seconds left. Australia playing Spain for the Bronze medal.

ETA
Dang, Spain just won 89-88.

Results for other St. Louis region athletes in these Olympic games:
Mizzou wrestler J'den Cox won the bronze in the 86kg class.
Murphy Troy, a classmate of my son at St. Louis U high and the US men's volleyball team came back from a two-set deficit to defeat Russia and capture the bronze medal this morning.
Michael Rodgers and his 4X100 relay team finished 3rd for the bronze but were disqualified when they claimed one of the baton exchanges happened outside the pass zone. He went to McCluer South, also right down the road from me and Lindenwood College.
Edward King and his lightweight four rowing team finished 10th. He is from Ironton where we had our farm.
Colleen Quigley, classmate of my daughter at Nerinx Hall High ran the final in the 3,000 meter steeplechase finishing 8th.
Courtney Frerichs from Nixa, MO also competed in the steeplechase final finishing 11th.
Deanna Price from Moscow Mills and SIU made the finals in hammer throw finishing 8th.
Gwen Berry in the hammer throw from McCluer High just up the street from my house failed to make the finals by a half meter.
Brittany Borman in javelin throw from Festus High was 27th best in qualifying failing to make the finals. In high school she was state champ in the shot, discus and high jump.
Kelsey Card was 25th in the discus. She's from Carlinville high.
Becky Saurbrunn from Ladue High here in town was team captain for the U.S. women's soccer team who failed to medal for the first time it was an Olympic sport.
Ryan Held from Sacred Heart High in Springfield won Gold in the men's 4X100 freestyle swim relay.
Josh Prenot from Sedalia won Silver in the 200 meter men's breaststroke.
Morgan Craft failed to medal finishing 5th in skeet shooting.

Kevin Lisch missed the bronze by 1 point. The lead changed hands 15 times in the last 4 minutes of play.

A USA woman just won gold in boxing. First American ever to win back to back golds in boxing.
She didn't even look tired. After the bout she did a somersault.
