Well,,I would be tempted to do a pip because without oxygen it dies, but most say they stat hands off unless there is extenuating circumstances like they messed up humidity by opening and shrink wrapped them.
I'm not hands off, so I'm okay with opening..... My concern is slipping and hurting the chick or making a too-big hole, or meddling too much.... GAH.

I would kinda have to agree on that.. C sections are pretty bad but when chick chick was hatching I was a nervous wreck
I know few care, but for those that kinda do, Duckling baked sugar cookies today, and peed in the potty!
