It was, partly 'cause I didn't have a set of cool wheels...heck, I didn't have any wheels, and refused to ask my folks to drag me around.
My neighbor felt sorry for me and gave me her car. It was a '55 Chevy with a bad transmission. It still worked but it only had 1st gear. It was good enough to rev it up, pop it into neutral and coast till I'd slip it back into 1st and rev it up again. I could make it to work and my girlfriend's house.

I'd be happy to see that... his sisters no nothing but text on their phones.

My son played a lot of video games but almost hourly he'd be outside shooting hoops or hitting baseballs or bouncing a tennis ball off the wall to play catch with himself.

That's terrible.

For your compost piles are they just a pile on the ground or do you have them semi-contained in an area?

I have 3 stage compost bins. They are really big (too big). I built them wide enough when I had a bobcat that I could use the bobcat scoop to turn them. Now that I turn them by hand, I wish they were smaller.
They are 3 sided with an open front. the middle shares walls with the two outer ones. They have double posts and I use old lumber to slide between the double posts so I can make the walls as high as I want or put spacers in for better ventilation.
All new stuff goes into the first bin and that's usually the biggest and hottest pile where most of the animal products like feathers, legs and heads go. Sometimes that will go in the second bin if it is hot and big enough. By the time the stuff gets to the third bin, it's mostly ready to go in the garden.

That's kind of what I was thinking of throwing together. How often do you turn them?

As you must know, I have a ton of misspellings, and because I am using a tablet, and I am 50, and wear multifocal glass, and the keyboard is small, I notice the mistake ONLY after I posted, this is the reason for the editing.
I am mobile so most of my edits are typos too.

My first vehicle was a 1973 Yamaha RD350 motorcycle that I bought with money from selling a horse. I think I was 17 years old. My first 4 wheeled vehicle was a 1973 Ford F250, and I think I was 21 when I bought that.
