@chaos Sorry I don't have a better picture of the compost bins but here's the piping from the coop. pictured is part of the third bin. The pile in it is usually pretty small both because I pull compost from it to fill garden beds but also because it really shrinks as bacteria consume it. Keep in mind that no matter how much high nitrogen material goes into the compost, nitrogen flushes rapidly so even using fresh compost, you'll still need to add nitrogen for heavy feeders like brassicas. I have my killing cone on the post so blood flows into the first compost bin. However, given what I just stated about nitrogen, I'm thinking about moving it to the third pile. This is my auto nipple water system in that building. It holds almost 10 gallons. The high exit pipe is so water won't leave the system till it is full. The right fitting takes a female hose fitting. The left fitting has a filtered vent that allows air into the system when unpressurized. When I fill the system, I hook up the hose with low flow and run a tube into the gutter drain that goes to the compost. In case I don't catch it when it is full, it will just flow onto the compost pile.
Great watering. I wish I knew enough to construct a functional one(mechanics of it not pipe fitting).

Afternoon all... I'll jump in on the dating question...

13 is too young.  All these kids saying they have a "boyfriend" or "girlfriend', and all I can think is they have NO idea what that really even means.  My daughter will not be allowed to date until she is 16 and it will be supervised at that point.  I will discourage dating until she is 18.  At 13 a kid's attention should be on their schoolwork, not on dating.  They are still kids and should enjoy being just that, a kid!
Definitely! I concur with what has been said. So much they don't understand, and there is a long time to be an adult. Learn, explore, persue things you enjoy, do things you will be too tied down to do later. Heck, aside from the risks and heartaches you don't even know who you are at thirteen much less understanding another person and the difficulties of two people.

All this puppy talk is making me miss when our Sally Sue was a tiny little baby!

I finally do! Kids are both in school, no "real" job. I finally have enough time to let a pup follow me around and teach it the right way. It's been a super fun 18 hours!

So cute... I wish I had more time to train ours! This is what happens when they are left alone too long... LOL!

Thanks. You started with some cool vehicles too - for a girl. I meant no offense, it is just that a motorcycle and a 3/4 ton pickup are not what most women choose for their first 2 vehicles.

...
Actually choosing those for your first 2 vehicles makes you much cooler than I.

My first new vehicle was an F-150 that my brother in-law helped me build ladder racks for so I could carry hogs and steers to market at the stockyards in East St. Louis.

X2
I ran off several boys that thought they were something, much to my daughter's chagrin. Many run-ins later I thinned the herd and my daughter is still alive and doing well.

I don't even think you know who you are at 21. At least most men don't.
My daughter went to a very small elementary school just up the street. I think there were 4 boys and 7 girls in her class.
(the class before hers had 1 girl who was the only girl in her class her entire 8 years)
There were some girls in my daughter's class that looked much older than they were. My daughter skipped a grade and was a year younger. On their 8th grade class trip to Chicago that I was a chaperone on, we were at a restaurant and there were some guys hitting on them. The guys thought the girls were college age.
The most 'mature' of the girls supposedly got a modelling gig that was at a local motel and she wanted my daughter to go with her. I refused. My daughter was livid.
I sat her down and in graphic detail, I explained to her what could possibly have awaited her. My frankness not only calmed her down but for the first time I think she appreciated my parenting.

Such a good looking pup.

They sure had fun didn't they? That would have been a good video.
