I candled the abandoned eggs, not looking good. It was a long shot anyway. Luckily my neighbor down the road saved a dozen cochin eggs for me. Wonder if I put half of them in the nest with the hona if she'll set again?

Hello all! Day 20 on my first hatch ever! I have 5 external pips, one of which is on the wrong end/middle of the egg. I don't hold out much hope for that one, and won't assist until it has been some time or the rest of them have hatched. I'm pretty excited for this bunch!

They can stay for over a day some say two or more so if you have pips, don't risk shrink wrapping the other chicks.
