She's quiet as long as she's in my shirt. Cries out when I move her around. I think she can't right herself when she flips on her back because of the bad leg.

Cockerels do better together when they're in their own pen without female accompaniment.

They don't need to learn, it is innate, instinctual.
You got a friend named Scotty?

Yeah. I wish I could...

I know that, he's just.... uhh.... Mentally touched, shall we say? He stares into corners, occasionally runs into walls while fleeing from my efforts to catch him, and just acts not all there. I would wonder if he was not partially blind..... His crest does not inhibit vision. He's got a tiny one.

Good morning!!

I don't know, she was under mama when I checked about 9:30 last night, so sometime in the night she pushed her back from her again.

Should I bring another chick in to keep her company or just let her be alone until she's stronger?
If it were me, I'd give it a sibling so it isn't lonely and can learn to eat and drink.

Here is my lone chick that hatched 2 days ago with a tutor that hatched 2 weeks ago.

I have changed "Was" to "were" all this misspellings always get me in trouble

I'm glad I learned English first. It is tough.

Morning! I am at work once again! Metal shavings everywhere! Owwwww!
You picked it. But it is a great trade/skill to have.

Yes, will do everything I can to save her. She's currently in my shirt. Every time I put her in incubator she flips over on her back.

I'd put it in a box with a drop light and a 75 watt bulb. You don't need a heat lamp. What it needs right now is nutrition. It looked like you did a good job with the foot.
Can it stand?

I've had chicks like that before. Never could get off their back. Those didn't make it.

Somewhere on the BYC site I have seen chicks who need help remaining upright are placed in a cut-down paper cup or something similar...once she is warm of course.

Is it Wry neck?

I don't think so. She can hold her head up and tries to stand. Seems very weak. Won't stay awake to drink. I took an eye dropper and put a few drops on lower beak but she doesn't open her mouth. When I set her down she tries to stand and then loses balance and falls over onto back. She was doing better at staying righted before I taped her foot. Should I take the tape off until she's stronger or leave the tape so the foot corrects?
