The sirens are screaming, and the fires are howling way down in the valley tonight!
There's a man in the shadows with a gun in his eye, and a blade shining oh so bright!
There is evil in the air and thunder in the sky and a killer on the blood shot streets.

Oh good and peaceful night , to you too! :lau

That one will be India Blue Pied! Perhaps like this one from: http://www.texaspeafowl.com/images/blpi.JPG -Kathy
Shalom Kathy This kind of coloration is considered more then the wild type coloration? I personally prefer the WT
I have to agree with you Benny - although the color mutations are cool and the birds beautiful, nothing beats the India blue peacock, or a green hen.
I'd love to have greens some day, but until then it's just the one spalding hen. -Kathy

quarterly testing for AI..... basic P & T is annual, but most other states require AI testing to ship to them at this point.
Do you have a list of those states? The last list I saw only had about 4 or 5 states that required AI testing.
I was advised not to test for AI.
I likely won't be shipping till at least next summer till I work out all my new flock members.

Son's FIL's high point of his life is mowing grass. He's got more money than God, with nobody to spend it on, so he buys big boy toys. One of them is a big ZT mower. He'll mow part of his 20 acres today, more tomorrow, etc., til he's done, just in time to start all over again. Strange part is, half or more of the property is wooded...no mowing at all.
Those are nice mowers, and expensive.

Welllll, if he has that much extra, I have a coop thats about to fall down that would be nice to have replaced.....

I was thinking the same thing.

Kids took us to Deep Creek Lake, way up in MDs western arm, for our 50th. Largest inpoundment in the state, I think. Anyway, they rented a 21' pontoon boat so son & I could get some fishing in while everyone else was just enjoying the ride. 10 adults, 1 infant, 2 dogs running around (one of which ain't housebroke) is not conducive to fishing! I was afraid my back cast would hook someone, and son was smart enough to leave his tackle in the truck...he drove the boat. The cabin was nice, but the fishing really sucked. I was on fire pit detail & bear watch out back...too danged many people inside.
It's the thought that counts.
I like fishing midweek and by myself.

That ain't the half of it. He has a fully equipped wood shop, central air & vacuum, and every tool a guy could want. He knows how to use about 1/4 of them. If his son or my son are working in the shop & happen to mention that a particular tool would be handy, there's one there the next time they show up.
Do you think he'd adopt me?

Eat some of them!
You will have a wonderful dinner AND you will reduce your numbers! Dont give them for free, you invested to much time and money on them not to enjoy them!
I have to eat a couple roosters this week. After being alarmed that I was down to only 3, I now have 5 and another 18 maturing.

Alternative point of view :
The dog ,an expert cat hunter, was sleeping on the cahouch.
The kittens just came near and woke it up
It stud up, preparing itself to pounce on the un experienced kittens.
So you still think it is a cute pic?
(All ouer Talmudic traditional learning system(more then 1500 years now!) is based on the principal of the איפכא מסתברא =On the contrary! So I had to post the other option
Sorry!)

There are probably a few more alternative explanations.

I guess its a hobby I can think of many things I would sooner spend money on and my time though

Sweet!

Ducklings shouldn't wiggle so much.

Cute! Wonder if she'll panic we the duckling discovers water!

Quote: Have fun! And don't forget to bring spices for the fish you will catch!

Thank you!

For those that raise and hatch ducks.. do you have to clip their wings to keep them from leaving? We have pools around here, and I heard that sometimes people allergic to chicken eggs, can eat duck eggs and it makes me curious about trying some... but how hard it is to keep them from abandoning ship once they are older?

Easier than chickens.... Mine can't fly a whit, and stick around for food.

That will be breed dependent on how well they can fly.
