I'll have to add hardware cloth over the windows and make a door. Maybe put it on a floating platform? We have a nice pond that's desperate for ducks. We talked about it several times over the summer. We were planning for scovies, to cut down the vegetation. But any ducks will help?

my call babies are doing a great job

Ohhhh! I forgot to post this last night, I got my first egg from one of my April hatches yesterday. I'm not sure which one laid it (only 2 were hens), because they are both really red in the comb now.

Anyway, it's the middle lighter brown one. YAY!

(Oh, and let's just ignore the fact that I broke my index fingernail trying to open the coop door that was stuck LOL!)
Nice!

Sally it's ready to go once I get the package, I have a hen that might go broody for me but I wanted to know if I let them set if you think I would be able to hatch them under her so I would be able to have a better hatch because I am not very good hatching he last time I hatched I set 13 eggs and 2 hatched. And if she a abandons them I will have the incubator inside plugged in and ready.

@ChickenCanoe Tell me about it I did the barbed wire by myself and that was a nightmare. This going over the top is working. Stretching the field fence with a come along and a truck is just too awkward and difficult.
Try putting a 2x4 on each side of field fence, bolt them together tight as possible so the wire doesn't slip, then pull from the center with a come-along, chain hoist, or winch anchored to the trailer hitch ball on back of an ATV (or larger garden tractor in a pinch), so you can get in between fence posts for a straight pull along the fence line for easier stapling to the post. You can cover multiple posts the same way if the fence line is straight and terrain is flat.

X2... I used a garden tractor for the dog fence.
