I took our babies outside today, and one of my barn cats was acting really... interested in them. I had to chase her away from the dog kennel and watch really closely since the babies are small enough to fit through the chain link. LOL

She doesn't bug the bigger chickens, but it does make me think she'd willingly snatch them if I let a mama raise them by hand outside of a contained area. :(

I wouldn't trust a barn cat around chicks.

I wouldn't trust a barn cat around chicks.
Oh, I don't. That's why I was watching her closely. I had hoped since she'd just eaten, that she'd lay away in the sun and not bother them... but nope. They were apparently VERY interesting. I know the big chickens scare her... she's only 6lbs. LOL she's tiny... but she's mean. She's taken on a 140lbs dog before... and won.
