Huh. Good to know. That might explain the broken eggs in the coop then.

The kids found an unbroken egg last night, from our chicken that's supposedly been eating them. We check 3-4 times a day for eggs.

I don't know what else to do, besides throwing our great pyr in there with the chickens/goats once they are trained and hope they kill rats.

Have you actually seen any of the rats? @RavynFallen has rats, not sure what she does besides shoot them.

Never actually seen a rat, or seen evidence of them NEAR the coop, but have seen evidence of them near the coop by the shed when we took apart the dog kennels that were attached to the shed to convert them into juvie chicken coops, so our baby chicks would be safe to live outside until they were full grown.
