Do you guys have peacocks? My daughter wants some, and her dad told me (quietly on the side to ask about personal experiences with them.) He heard the males can be ornery.

ahhh. I was reading up on them and from what i'm reading, i'm not sure they are the right animal for my daughter. she likes birds she can hug. LOL

Chicks! The blue one is an orpington I think. It was from the "big" egg. Rest are banty cochins. Roo and hen are like calico colored? Any guesses on the chicks? Sorry they're blurry... It's hard to get pics of 8 fuzzy littles.

We ended up with chickens because she'd been begging for a parrot and I said no. It's why her silkie and the baby we hatched, can live inside in a bird cage and let outside a few hours in a dog kennel.

I want to switch everybody to an allflock type feed but in pellets. Currently feed flock raiser in crumbles.

Mine will not eat pellets I even tryed to not feed them for a day until they eat there pellets and they didn't eat a thing of them so I had to go buy crumbles. For another 13.00 dollars if they would eat something from the mill I could get a fifty pound bag for about 9 dollars. And I get a 25 pound bag of cracked corn for 3 dollars and mix it with the food but the mill charges me more if I don't fill the bag so it would be cheaper if I bought a 100 pound bag at one time instead of keep buying a 25 pound bag.
