Hi there!

-Kathy

You know, I read more than I post, and I see you everywhere!  Will be spraying everything/body except the cats with permethrin soon  - sound familiar?  And catching up on subscriptions, seeing you there,too.
  Always nice to see ya!:D

:D

I guess I do get around, lol. And yes, that does sound familiar.

@Sally Sunshine @DwayneNLiz

my daughter wanted to show you something "cool" she found.

It's living in a homemade habitat in her room now. *ugh*

With that said, I also made her cry, because her rooster saw her catch a bug, he waited patiently for her to give it to him and when she didn't, he finally kicked her boots to make her let go... which she didn't... so I forced her to feed her rooster the bug. Told her it wasn't nice to wave a bug above his head when he was expecting a treat.

She was... mad at me about forcing her to feed him the bug she caught... but I told her if you don't want him ****** off at you, you can't tease him with tempting morsels and not fork them over.

So out of the 10 turkey's I ordered, only 5 out of 17 eggs hatched.... and none of his duck eggs made it. One hatched, took a breathe, and then died on him before he could help it.

So, he's got some ducks hatching next week and he's going to try to send me the difference in turkey's, in ducks.

I suppose if all 5 turkey's survive their trip, 5 isn't a bad start. lol

I hope they survive! If you decide you want more poults, call Metzer Farms and ask them if they can recommend a poult hatchery.

I think I do - the problem is they won't ship till spring. I caught the guy on his last hatch of the season when he put 17 eggs in... I was hoping for 10 :( but i'll take 5, if they make it. They'll start laying when I order the next batch in the spring, so it will work out, and I can eat the toms, if they aren't nice around then.

Great news: The hen with the splinted leg is much better. She's perky and will move around with her good leg- Obviously, still not walking on the bad one, but at least she moves!!
