Well, my Silkie eggs are here, but my turkey's never arrived this morning? If they come tomorrow, what are the odds of them being alive? :( they were shipped tuesday morning.

Yeah, he had a nasal medication and gas. He woke up attacking the nurses, biting, screaming, wedged himself under the bed in the hospital and wouldn't come out. Screamed for hours. It took me a long time to rock him back to sleep so they'd discharge us. Then he slept for like 6+ hours.

15 minute tube surgery :(

They wanted to do this for an MRI and after that reaction it's like HELL NO! No way am I allowing general.

I was given ketamine, against my will during a c-section, I remember it vividly, and had flash backs. I was aware of everything, but couldn't tell anyone I was awake, and could feel things. The doctor was hurting me, I was in pain, but couldn't move, I was laso having a bad "trip" in my head, thinking I was dying, I remember praying to jesus, and realizing that they'd given me medication but it was like there was a disconnect in my brain from the logical/rational side of me, and the fear/irratational side... while being concious of pain, but not able to do anything to stop it.

Worst experience with medication I've ever had in my life, and its on my DO NOT GIVE list now. I also won't allow them to give it to my children after personally going through that. That medication could cause PTSD if a kid couldn't rationalize what had happened.

No I can call the guy back, he said he shipped tuesday. he said it's 2-3 day priority, so worse case scenario, tomorrow morning.

Assuming, he didn't just take my money. although, paypal should reverse it I think if he failed to provide services, but I don't think he's a liar. especially since I have his ebay information and could find him on facebook.

wow!! I'm sorry you had that reaction! I have never seen ketamine given in the OB setting!!! I actually requested it if they have to scope my wrist!!! I'm prone to hypotension after anesthesia and propofol is much more likely to cause that so if they need to do anything more than versed and dilaudid, i told them "Go for the vitamin K!" Thats part of the beauty of medicine though, in my opinion-the way each drug acts and how many different choices there are to achieve the same result. Unfortunately , you have to experience a bad reaction to know what works and what doesn't-no cut and dry rules because people are so different. I hope your son is ok and that he heals well from surgery. Any medical experience is tough on kids.
