Yea the birds were fine. I actually didn't dispatch anybody. I just used them as live models to see if they would fit.

if you see the origninal photo where each foot goes in its angled so that it will automatically tighten on the leg as they are slid in it???? Am I right or wrong? may not need anything to hold them in because weight should do it with that angle? ....

With the Cornish x they have those big feetthat will stay in the slot easier. I think my hangers would work alright without the piece sliding down to the feet for extra cockerels because spurs and feet would help hold them in. For any hens with smaller legs I think the piece would be necessary.
